The Mets are at the very least listening to offers for shortstop Jose Reyes, according to a report in The New York Daily News. It seems likely that Reyes will remain with the Mets for the 2011 season, although the team would likely move him for the right package of major-league ready players and prospects.

The Red Sox are very interested in Diamondbacks outfielder Justin Upton, writes Phil Rogers of the Chicago Tribune. Rogers writes that Boston has been involved in discussions ever since it became known that Arizona was open to trading him.

ESPN.com's Buster Olney writes that it is beginning to appear more likely that the Padres will hold onto first baseman Adrian Gonzalez. San Diego could trade Gonzalez at midseason depending on their record, but a trade this winter appears unlikely. Gonzalez played the second half of the 2010 season with a shoulder injury.

The Toronto Blue Jays have given up on their pursuit of Justin Upton. Arizona has made Upton available in trade scenarios, but their asking price has remaining extremely high.

The Orioles haven't ruled out retaining shortstop Cesar Izturis, but they are still looking for other options at shortstop, according to sources. Baltimore has had trade discussions about Tampa Bay's Jason Bartlett and Minnesota's J.J. Hardy.
